capturing light
the bronx, nyc
I took these photos around noon time in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. I was surprised by this unique side of the city so I decided to photograph the natural light. I like how each photo is clearly green and earthy but there are still subtle hints that you are close to the city, like the fence in the first photo. The first photo is also taken in a shadowy wooded area of the park but the light can be seen beyond the fence and behind the shadowy cover of trees. This almost makes it feel as if you are hiding in the trees spying on whatever is going on on the far side of the fence in the light.
