envisioning somerset- field trip
My photo series focuses on a lot of things in the historic part of Somerset that have remained since Somerset was first founded like plants and bodies of water and old tombstones. Signs of new life and more modern structures are evident in some of the backgrounds of the photos. (Like a girl in a bright red coat and a new fence.) In both of the photos of the tombstones, the dark colors of the stone represents the history of the Somerset as well as it represents the graves of the people that helped to found the town. The green moss growing on the graves represents that the graves are old and the new colorful life that now inhabits the town.
